Do you want to replace the carpeted stairs at your home with stylish solid wood ones one day? This desire has been in my mind for quite some time. In May 2020, this moment of change was finally ushered in.
During the lockdown we decided to renovate our stairs to give us a new lease of life. We hired a professional team of construction workers without hesitation, even though it was a heavy task. This decision proved to be a wise one.
Before the renovation, the stairs were covered in carpets that not only accumulated dust easily but also looked very old. To achieve our vision, we removed the carpets from the stairs and replaced them red oak treads. During construction, we used MDF panels as kick panels. We painted all parts after filling in the gaps and nailholes. This contrasted design gave the stairs an instant new look.
The stairs are still beautiful even after two years of use. Solid wood stairs not only add warmth and a sense nature to your home, but are also easy to clean. It is important to be extra cautious when carrying heavy items to avoid scratching the surface of the stairs. Maybe adding a stair-runner is the best solution.
This stair renovation project is one of my favorites. This renovation not only makes the home look better, but it also makes life more convenient and comfortable.
