Who doesn’t want their home to look brand new at the start of the new year and get rid the clutter and fatigue of the previous year? I’m always the type of person who is eager to clean right after Christmas. This desire for cleanliness seems to bring a positive energy to the new year.
This year, I decided to make an exception and wait a few more days before cleaning up. However, the items scattered around the house were almost driving me insane. After a few days I could no longer stand the mess and decided to begin the big cleaning.
I began to remove all the Christmas decorations. The feeling of slowly restoring order was incredible! While we were cleaning, the children played around with the explosive toys from the New Year countdown and made confetti all over the house. We have an Electrolux vacuum cleaner that makes cleaning easy!
We even cleaned the skirting board, curtains, window sills and the area above windows. This was a thorough deep cleaning.
After the cleaning I could finally breath. The entire space was re-energized, with a clean and fresh atmosphere. It’s the perfect way to start the new year. May your new year bring you hope and cleanliness.
