For a long time, I’ve wanted to change the quilt that covers the bed. We used to use an old down comforter with no matching quilt cover. I thought it was time to upgrade my quilt set. I chose a pleated white quilt that is not only beautiful but also very generous in size. This quilt will cover a king sized mattress perfectly, without any problems of insufficient length.
I also added new color elements such as placing a blanket at the foot of the bed. It’s not necessary now, but it will make a nice addition to the bedroom in the winter. It also adds an elegant touch to the room.
The quilt is part of a Royal Empire orange three-piece bedding collection. The coral on the pillows and curtains doesn’t quite match, but they still go well together.
The navy accents in the room are the cute navy footstool. Originally, it was meant to be a makeover for my husband’s man room. However, I decided that it would look better in our bedroom.
Instead of my usual sheets, I chose navy blue sheets at Walmart from BHG. It’s almost a perfect match for the paint on our wall! These Egyptian cotton sheets are so soft, they’re almost like silk. They have a 400 thread count. I am very particular about my sheets and these have met all of my expectations so far.
Overall, this bedroom update has made me very happy. It doesn’t take much money to make the room look brand new by changing the bedding and curtains. This is a change that is worth the money.
